Original cloth with gilt decoration, ex-library, label om front paste-down and stamps on title and occasional margin, 'With the Author's compliments' stamped n title, overall a very good copy. *Môller had founded a commercial enterprise based upon the Norwegian fishing industry and the extraction of Cod-liver oil. He had always been concerned to disseminate all knowledge of the extraction, chemistry and usage of the oil and had published numerous works on the subject in Norwegian. He realised that this literature was not well-read, thus publishing this very comprehensive work in English. It covers a survey of the fishing industry especially around Lofoten, a history of Norway including temperance and shipping, the pharmaceuticals of cod-liver oil and an extensive discussion on Atomic Linking.…
