Mrs Martha Lynch's mother did not want to be buried in Miller Cemetery and told Martha such. But Martha's mother died soon after and was buried in Wells Cemetery. Martha was determined to purchase land for a new cemetery but needed fu…nds to purchase the land. As a means to get the money she decided to interview the old people in the three counties about their early experiences and to add to the needed money she solicited local businesses to purchase add space. She was successful and her mother was reinterred in the new cemetery along with other family members. A rather scarce local history. This copy was rebound in green cloth with gilt titles and the pages are evenly tanned. A nice solid copy. Howes L586.
