["Bertil J.Lundman (18991993) was a Swedish anthropologist. He is best known for having created a racial classification system of Europeans in his book The Races And Peoples Of Europe (1977). Bertil Lundman's book The Races and Peoples of Europe distinguishes several racial types (older synonyms in brackets): Nordid (Nordic), including the subraces Falid, North Atlantid ( North-Occidental) and Scandid ; Paleo-Atlantid ; West-Alpine ; East-Alpine (Gorid) ; West-Mediterranean (Ibero-Insular) ; Berid ; East-Mediterranean, including the subraces Saharid and Pontid ; Arabid, including the Syrid subrace ; Dinarid (Dinaric), including subraces Armenid and Carpathid ( Litoral) Volgid, including the subraces Sudeten and Pre-Pontid ; East Baltid, including the subraces Tavastid (Sub-Nordid) and Savolaxid ; Scando-Lappid (South-Lappid, Samid) ; Mongolid strains: Kumid and Taigid. Bertil Lundman (1899-1993) was a Swedish anthropologist who served on the executive committee of the International Association for the Advancement of Ethnology and Eugenics. His 1997 work, The Races and Peoples of Europe, defines a racial classification system, defining various racial types such as Nordic and Alpine. His controversial theories have been taken up by far right extremists.…
