Illustrated with two maps. Newspaper review taped to the front pastedown. A very good copy in very slightly toned and dust soiled non-price-clipped dust wrapper. A detailed study of Lowry's early life, which also reprints two early stories, 'A Rainy Night' and 'Satan in a Barrel', both of which originally appeared in 'The Fortnightly', the Leys School Magazine, and foreshadow 'Under the Volcano'.
