Contact seller4-star sellerHardcover. Condition: Fair. No Jacket. Lowell Jackson Thomas (1892¿1981) was an American writer, broadcaster, and traveler who sprung to fame narrating lectures and films highlighting T. E. Lawrence (1888-1935) WWI exploits and helping to make "Lawrence of Arabia" a household name. In 1952 a new movie making technique, Cinerama…was released. Fred Waller(1886-1954) was an American cinema photographer inventor who developed a film projection technique known as Cinerama which fills the spectator's field of vision beyond a narrow screen. Thomas enthusiastically embraced the concept. He produced the first movie/documentary in Cinerama: 'This is Cinerama', the third: 'Seven Wonders of the World', and the fourth: 'Search for Paradise' in this format in 1956, with a 1957 release date. This book was released to promote the movie ' Seven Wonders of the World' and the Cinerama concept. Text is illustrated with over 100 photographs, many in full color. This copy retired from a high school library. Ex-Lib has usual stamps, pastings and markings. Hardcover has blue boards with gold lettering in blue shadowbox on yellow spine, but no DJ. Interior is tight, clean and, except for occasional library stamps in text, unmarked. Copyright 1956. No ISBN, LCCN nor MSR. Stanley-Warner Cinema Corporation (illustrator).
