These were drawn by various artists, the most famous of whom was Leslie Ward who used the 'nom de crayon' of "Spy". This portrait will come mounted/matted and ready to frame using archivist quality materials, mount size 18 x 12 inches, 47 x 31 cms. It will be presented in a cellophane wrapper with our label guaranteeing authenticity. We pack very well, between sheets of hardboard. She feels sure that 'a line from yr. Lordship to Lord Hugh could not fail of being of great use to him'. Docketed on reverse 'Mem: Enquire abt. this. Lady Jane calls him Lt. but he does not appear to be so.' A second note ends 'I will mention her Son to Ld. Hu: Seymour when I next write to him.' Francis Halliday is described on the second leaf of the bifolium as a midshipman.…
