Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. Dust Jacket Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. Four Days: 25-29 September, 1938, Edited by Michael Killanin (Lord Killanin), Hardcover, First UK Edition. Book in very good condition, in a similar unclipped dust jacket. The book has slight bumping to the spine ends, with some ageing/ foxing to the… page edges. The dust jacket shows some general wear and ageing, with a few slight nicks and small closed tears to the extremities. The dust jacket is now encased in a protective removable plastic sleeve. Overall a very good, tight and clean copy for a book of this age. (See pictures). A symposium by leading journalists from the major European capitals and the United States of what they felt and saw during those September days, after weeks of tension, when the world's peace was at stake.

An attractive and unusual edition of Lord Byron's work, introduced by the poet William Rossetti. This printing matches one in The British Library, which is catalogued as "Illustrated by Thomas Seccombe [or rather, by Ford Madox Brown]". (It is not clear why Ford Madox Brown would be using the name of another artist as a pseudonym.) This edition also matches the description in The British Library: "Without the additional titlepage and the frontispiece, the latter being replaced by a portrait. With different illustrations from the [1880] edition, that facing p. 410 signed: "M. W. Ridley.". Thomas Seccombe (Illus.) / Ford Madox Brown (illustrator).
