The biography has been written by professors in various departments and concerns each of the special schools, containing as well a section on the university portraits and on the life of the student community. This volume is essentially supplementary to the previous one, entitled 'The Story of the University During Its First Three Hundred Years', published in 1884. / This is a 1st edition hardback, in good condition-the front cover is 'marked' & edges of the cover are rubbed & with the perious owners signature on the front 'end-paper' & the 'text' pages are a little foxed.
