Couverture rigide. Condition: Très bon. London, Marcus Ward & Co., 1877, hardcover, original binding with white paper like velum blind stamped decorated and gilt title on spine, marbled endpapers, about 7 1/2 X 5 inches, 343 pages, illustrated with 21 B&W woodcut (including a few small illustrations in-text), 22 if we count the dolphin-and-anchor device of the Chiswick Press in the colophon. Our copy is in very good condition. Cover shows minimal wear but some superficial soiling here and there (see images). Interior is excellent, solidly bound, clean and complet without any noticeable wear of flaw BUT as an ex-library copy we found three small stamps on half-title page and title page and another small stamp to page 81 lower margin. We see also some superficial scratches to last endpaper due to stickers removing. Overall a nice and charming book.
