Houchins, with the recipient's bookplate opposite, on inside cover. Houchins was a labor economist, a member of FDR's Black Cabinet, and a professor of economics at Howard University. The first of three volumes in Oak's 'The Negro Entrepreneur' series, followed by 'The Negro's Adventure in General Business' and a third book on insurance that I can't tell was ever published. Oak's signature is startlingly uncommon. 170 pages. Inscribed by Author(s).
