Quarter black leather gilt with printed paper-covered boards, slipcase, landscape 4to., unpaginated, illustrated with 13 mounted lithographs and other offset lithographs printed with the text. Of 600 copies, this is one of 450 numbered copies with the text set at the Stinehour Press and printed on Rives mould-made paper at Meriden Gravure and signed by the artist and editor. Binding attributed to Arno Werner. Name at flyleaf, mild marginal spotting to some leaves, minimal wear to the spine extremities(much less than usual), an attractive, very good copy in an unworn, near fine cloth and paper-covered board slipcase. Signed by Author and Artist.

Condition fine inside, spine worn and cracked with piece reattached, no markings of any kind, no names, no underlinings, no highlights, no bent page corners. Not a reminder. Slipcase near fine with slight edgewear. Hardcover in slip case (a few faint fingers left their mark), the original lithographs are mounted, offset lithographs are on Rives mould-made paper, as is the text. Binding paper is Fabriano. Numbered 75 on the limitation page and also signed by the artist and the translator. From a total edition of 600, this is number 56 of 100 copies (51-150) signed by both artist and translator, printed on hand-made paper and containing an extra suite of 13 loose lithographs, each signed or initialed by Stein in pencil.
