First edition. [12], 123 pages. Hardcover. Olive green dust jacket rubbed and lightly toned, shallow chipping at edges, tear at spine heel, surface scuffing to spine panel affecting lettering at top. Pink cloth, spine heel frayed. Light foxing upon edges but interior pages are clean. A very good- copy in a good dust jacket. Eight chapters titled as: "Introduction; "Social Structure, Personality, and Achievement;" "Status Mobility in Nineteenth-Century Nigeria;" "Nigerian Schoolboys: Subjects of the Study;" "Achievement Motivation in Dream Reports;" "Achievement and Obedience Values in Essays;" "Independent Evidence on Achievement Attitudes and Behavior;" and "Conclusions." With footnotes, twelve tables, two appendices, and Index.
