Dr. Burrell previously served as a special education teacher and as a counselor in the Lansing (Mich.) public schools. He has been a major participant in human relations workshops and presentations throughout the country. Dr. Burrell is co-author of several books in the field of education and has contributed articles to several educational journals. Reading Consultant M. Jerry Weiss is Distinguished Service Professor of Communications at Jersey City State College. He is an experienced teacher of English, language arts, and reading at the secondary-school and college levels. Dr. Weiss is the author of a number of language arts textbooks and professional books for teachers.
