Storm van Leeuwen war anfangs Offizier und wurde 1920 Professor am Pharmakotherapeutischen Institut in Leiden und beschäftigte sich vorwiegend mit der Erforschung allergischer Erkrankungen und deren Behandlung, besonders des Asthmas.
