Soft cover. Condition: Near Fine. 1st Edition. pp: 233. The story has an interesting history. The book was originally completed by Leeson in 1950. It was not published due to a lack of interest by any publisher. The manuscript was donated by the author to the Royal Military Academy and, through some administrative changes, disappeared. Some forty years later the author was able to re-acquire the manuscript from a private collector. This publication is essentially the same as the original. There have some updates. And, some photos have been added. It is the story of the experiences of a British Officer serving in an undivided India. He commanded a force of Khassadars assigned to keep the roads of this forbidding area open for commerce. This is an uncommon book, even more so as it has been signed by the author. He has included a generic "With my compliments" on the back of the front cover. Signed by Author(s).
