Binding is a little cocked, but still sturdy and whole. Writing in pencil on front free endpaper and rear pastedown; pages are otherwise free from pen or pencil markings. Dust jacket is brown, with black lettering on the spine and black and red lettering and a black-and-white illustration on the front cover; jacket is protected by a clear plastic Brodart jacket. Good condition. Jacket has toned. Spine is sunned. Chipping to corners and head and foot of spine; some wear and tear, and creasing, to other edges. Tear at bottom edge of back of jacket has been repaired with tape. Illustrated throughout with black-and-white wood engravings, designed by the author and engraved by his sister, Clemence Housman. A children's fairy story from the English playwright Lawrence Housman.
