Edition originale, à tirage limité, de cet essai accompagné de reproductions pleine page des portraits exécutés par Tini Rupprecht. Cette dernière sait traduire par le dessin l'expressivité des modèles et rend de façon très naturelle les postures, regards et textures des étoffes employées pour les vêtements. Pour la plupart, ces portraits sont ceux de femmes, mais on trouve également des enfants et jeunes gens. Les formats sont des médaillons circulaires ou ovales, parfois des rectangles à angles arrondis, se prêtant facilement à l'encadrement. Tini Rupprecht (1867-1956) : peintre, photographe et dessinatrice allemande, reconnue pour ses portraits de personnes des familles royales ou puissantes d'Europe, du Luxembourg à la Roumanie. Prénommée Albertine, elle se surnomme elle-même Tini.Comte de Latemar : Alexandre A.C. Sturdza (1867-1917) : membre de la Société de géographie de France. Auteur en langue roumaine et française. Demi-reliure 1900 : mors et petits coins en cuir orangé avec plats en papier-cuir blanc. Reliure soignée à dos lisse orné d'un titre et décor or. Amorces de fentes des mors près des coiffes ; par ailleurs, bon état de conservation autant de la reliure que de son contenu : les seules rousseurs observées le sont sur les serpentes ; les images reproduites en photogravure sur linter de coton velin sont parfaitement conservées. Exemplaire n° 214, imprimé sur papier velin, numéroté à la presse, sur un total de 600 exemplaires dont 50 imprimés pour l'auteur. Rare édition dans une reliure soignée d'époque. Très bel exemplaire complet et bien conservé. Benezit, 1999.
