Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. xiv, 310pp, [4pp advertising], bound in blue cloth, gilt still bright, binding and hinges tight, complete with nine plates, as called for. Ex-library, with paper label on spine [removable], markings and label inside the front cover, with markings on half title page. Covers show bumped corners, outer page edges foxed, occasional thumb mark to pages.

Soft cover. Condition: Good. 32pp, staple bound [staples rusty], printed on heavy stock paper, binding tight, lacks the colorful paper covers. NO LABELS, INSCRIPTIONS, NOR MARKINGS. Pages are age darkened, there is NO foxing. Housed in a protective envelope.

Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1st Edition. VG -. Ex Library. Naby cloth covered boards with gilt tiles to front board and to spine. Some Chipping to top corner of head and a little to the foot of said spine. Front boards slightly discolored at bottom. Front pastedown has previous ownership inscription and two dates neatly written down on it in light ink. There is also a Diagonal purple stamp, now lightly crossed out reading "Timaru Book Club" this is replicated on ffep. No other signs of former library use. 310pp + 4 pp of adverts.

Condition: Good. No edition remarks. 258 pages. No dust jacket. Blue cloth covered boards with gilt. Black and white portrait frontispiece. Pages with some foxing and tanning, particularly to endpapers and textblock edges. Binding remains firm. A previous owner's name to front free endpaper. Boards have moderate shelf wear with some rubbing, fraying and corner bumping. Some moderate sunning and tanning, particularly to spine. Gilt lettering to spine is dulled.
