Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Over-sized hardbound (quarto). This is the original 1858 edition, NOT a modern reprint. Appears the book was rebound (recased) sometime in the late 19th century. Bound in navy blue three-quarters morocco with blue marbled boards. Quite nice condition. We have treated the leather with a… professional book conservator's leather dressing - to good effect. No wear to the binding. No slope, no twist, no distortion from reading or improper shelving. Pages are tight and clean with no marks. Foxing here and there. Front and rear free end sheets and pastedowns blue marbled paper. No name of previous owner. No musty odor. No water damage. No soiling. Book presents nicely on the shelf.
