The first part of our study will be performed in Alkhatib center and the selection of that hospital was upon its highly sensitive diagnostic tools, in which PET/CT scan was playing a major role to improve survival as shown in few reports in our study, and it's the only safe diagnostic tool for a person who has a metal fragments after injury in the war which increased the number of such patients in our country during the last decade. This diagnostic tool is based on FDG in which we can define the tumor by using sugar more than normal tissue. We will also demonstrate that this diagnostic tool could be of a great help to distinguish the area of high uptake of radioiodine in thyroid cancer and the areas of low uptake will be more intense by FDG since there is an opposite correlation in between FDG and Radioiodine uptake, this can direct the therapy by adding a supportive drug.…

También demostraremos que esta herramienta de diagnóstico podría ser de gran ayuda para distinguir el área de alta captación de radioyodo en el cáncer de tiroides y las áreas de baja captación serán más intensas por FDG ya que hay una correlación opuesta en entre FDG y captación de radioyodo, esto puede dirigir la terapia mediante la adición de un medicamento de apoyo.…
