Rare, distinctive three-volume set of 18th century books on Japanese commodities and manufacturing processes, printed on rice paper and bound in traditional Japanese fashion. The books are protected in a heavy-duty custom clamshell box covered in linen with printed designer paper inset on both the front and rear of the box. Ownership rubber-stamp on blank endpaper in each book, books otherwise are unmarked, appear to be complete and are intact. All books are relatively clean and stain-free, square and straight, still firm in their bindings, no pages are loose or torn. The thread bindings are intact. All pages are clean and stain-free, and all text and illustrations remain sharp and legible.
