Hardback, illustrated title label pasted to upper board, printed titling to spine. 20 × 15cm, 62pp. A charming if battered little book for girls on how to make sweets (marzipan, coffee walnuts, peppermint delight, date fondant etc), and on how to make and run a sweet stall. Illustrated throughout with illustrations by various artists. Condition: Fair condition. The boards and spine are heavily rubbed with some fraying, the inner binding is shaken and there is some foxing to the pages but the book remains in good readable condition.

Boards a little worn and rubbed at edges. Two inked inscriptions on front free endpaper, dated 1915 and 1952 respectively. Endpapers a tad brown and spotted, else internally neat, clean, bright and tight. A gloriously illustrated tribute to the English countryside and art in nature.
