Gilt Maroon decorative staining to top edges. Dustjacket. Dustjacket chipped at head and foot of spine and at top and bottom of folding edges of dustjacket. According to Wikipedia, "the founder of the family was Johann Fugger, a weaver at Graben, near the Swabian Free City of Augsburg. The last name was originally spelled "F***er" - the first recorded reference to the family comes when Johann's son, also named Johann (or Hans), moves to Augsburg in 1367, with the local tax register laconically noting F***er advenit, "Fugger has arrived".
