Besonders für Spanien sind weitere Untersuchungen sehr wichtig, da der Tourismus "sol y playa" lange Zeit das einzige Standbein der spanischen Tourismusbranche war und erst im Laufe der Zeit von anderen Angeboten flankiert wurde. Der Tourismus stellt in Spanien einen der wichtigsten Wirtschaftszweige des Landes dar. Diese lange Zeit vorherrschende Monostruktur birgt für Spanien ein erhà htes Gefährdungspotenzial. Für Tourismusarten, die direkt vom Wetter abhängig sind, haben die aktuellen und zukünftigen Klimaänderungen groÃen Einfluss auf den Tourismussektor. Deutsche Urlauber machten mit 9 Millionen Ankünften 15,9 % der Gesamtnachfrage im Jahr 2011 aus und stellten damit die zweitgrà Ãte Zielgruppe des Spanientourismus dar. Es ist folglich von besonderem Interesse, wie sie auf Ãnderungen der Rahmenbedingungen in ihrem Urlaub reagieren werden. Zudem ist Spanien nach ihrem Heimatland das beliebteste Urlaubsziel. Insbesondere die Mittelmeerküste und die Balearen erfreuen sich groÃer Beliebtheit bei deutschen Urlaubern. Ziel der Untersuchung war es daher, Kenntnisse über die Veränderung der Touristenstrà me von Deutschland an die spanische Mittelmeerküste und auf die Balearen durch den Einfluss des Klimawandels auf das Reiseverhalten deutscher Urlauber zu erlangen. Die Autorin verfolgte des Weiteren das Ziel, wertvolle Einblicke in die Wahrnehmung des Klimas und des Klimawandels sowie der Anpassung des Reiseverhaltens in Zeiten des Klimawandels zu liefern. Es sollten Hinweise darauf gesammelt werden, ob und wie die Präferenzen der Urlauber vom Klima beeinflusst und sich in Zukunft verändern werden. Der Fokus der Untersuchung lag auf der mà glichen Verhaltensänderung der Urlauber und der ÃuÃerung über eine mà gliche Ãnderung ihrer Präferenzen unter Einfluss des Klimawandels. Eine Urlauberbefragung diente zur Ãberprüfung und Ergänzung der theoretischen Ansätze.
