No stated date but believed to be 1968 and presumed first edition. 62pp. and 1 black and white illustration. T.T. Kilbucho was a pen-name of Thomas Todd (born 1899). Born in the Peeblesshire valley of Kilbucho, he was a shepherd by trade and an acute observer of country life and language. He also poetry, mostly in his native Peebleshire speech. In this book, in prose and verse, he covers the continuation throughout several Peeblesshire parishes of a traditional pathway over which Burns, Hogg and other Scots have left their footprints. The book is bound in the original green boards with no titling on the spine or boards. The case of the book is in very good condition with bumping to the bottom of the spine. The contents are tight and clean with some foxing to the endpapers and a little faint foxing to the title-page and last page. There is an initial written on the front free endpaper. The unclipped dustwrapper has shelf wear with some soiling and the spine ends are bumped and chipped. A small piece is missing from the top rear edge near the spine corner. …

Condition: Very Good. 21 pages. The New Statistical Account of Scotland (NSA), published in 1845, served as a successor to the Old Statistical Account compiled by Sir John Sinclair in the late 18th century. Commissioned by the Society for the Benefit of the Sons and Daughters of the Clergy in Scotland, the NSA updated survey offered a more comprehensive analysis of Scotland's parishes. Covering geography, economy, agriculture, population trends, and social conditions, the NSA remains a significant historical resource for understanding Scotland in the early 19th century. An authentic standalone article, extracted from a larger volume. Not a reprint or reproduction, but an original work in its own right. Preserved in a modern card cover, prepared for practicality - an unassuming but serviceable presentation that favours function over finery. Size: 14 x 22 cms. Category: Scottish Statistical; Cosmo Books : 29 years on ABE, 47 years taking care of customers. A bookseller you can rely on. Softcover (Booklet - Unbound Pages).…
