Whitfield Davidson (1876-1974), Introduction on page v by the author, two b/w plates on pages vi-vii, brief essay "Editor's Remarks" on pages viii-ix by H. Key, Jr. Features anecdotal stories by Judge Davidson who city attorney for Marshall, Texas from 1907-1914, a Texas state senator from 1920-1922, lieutenant governor from 1923-1925, general counsel for Dallas fraternal insurance company Praetorian Order from 1927-1936, and United States district judge for the Northern District of Texas, Dallas from 1936 until his retirement in 1965. No publication date is specified but Key's "Editor's Remarks" is dated for September 30, 1969 which implies publication likely occurred that same year.

Front endpaper has an envelope attached to it with several checks in it. Two checks are from Garrett and Key, Bankers, written in 1881 and one check is from the First National Bank, written in the 1890s. Also included is a reproduction 1000 dollar bank note from 1840 with the serial number 8894. This was made before laws were enacted requiring the words copy or replica had to be on fake notes. Book is in good condition. 4to, 43 pages, 1.4 lb.; 4to 11" - 13" tall; 43 pages.
