Text block edge is moderately foxed. Some occasional mild cracking to gutters throughout, binding remains reasonably firm. Boards have mild edge-wear with slight rubbing to surfaces. Mild crushing to spine ends. Boards have minor damp and dust stains. Book has a slight forward lean. Clipped jacket has light edge-wear with tears and creasing.

Red boards and spine bright and clean with just a small triangular faded area near the base of the spine. Internally very crisp and clean with a tight binding. Pictorial d/j is very clean and is not price-clipped. Light wear around the edges, especially at the ends of the spine. There is a small curved piece missing from the front top edge of the jacket partially affecting the first two letters of the title.

Condition: Good. 1942. Reprint. 240 pages. Red jacket over cloth. Book is in better condition than most examples of this age. Neat, clean, well bound pages with very minimal foxing, tanning and thumbing. Small inscriptions and neat labels may be present. Boards have mild shelf wear with light rubbing and corner bumping. Some staining, marking and sunning. Unclipped jacket has light edge wear with minor tears and chipping. Mild rubbing, staining and marking.

Pages remain bright and clean with minimal tanning and foxing. Binding remains firm. Boards have moderate shelf wear with mild bumping and fraying to corners and crushing and fraying to spine ends. All surfaces tanned and sunned, particularly spine. Unclipped jacket has heavy edge wear with tears, chipping and creasing. Spine noticeably sunned.
