Full Leather. Condition: Poor binding. 16mo. [4], x, 130 pp., illus. First edition. In publisher's limp leather. Spine perished and leather at the extremities chipped; contents solid. Duncan Smith's name inside the front coverwe've been unable to ascertain if this is in his hand and was his copy or not. An uncommon collection of undergraduate fiction from the University of Virginia. Charming illustrations throughout. Printed and decorated in the Arts & Crafts fine press style. This copy with contemporary gift inscription to Carrie Hill Davis from Adeline & Eugenia. Davis appears to have been a graduate of the University? Certainly affiliated with it as we find her name associated with UVA in various capacities in the first decades of the 20th century.
