Aptly titled collection of essays/stories by fur trader James Willard Schultz (1859-19…47) who took a Blackfoot Indian wife, became a full-fledged tribe member, and given the name Apikuni; editor Keith C. Steele is also an adopted member of the tribe. A number of the selections were first published in magazines. An included map indicates the Blackfeet hunted buffalo in an area roughly continguous to the modern state of Montana. 24 chapters in two parts: Part I, Autobiographical Narrative; and Part II, Stories of Their Adventures Related to Apikuni by Indian Friends. Fine copy.
