Original Wraps. Condition: Very Good. No Jacket. Frederick Polley (illustrator). First Edition. First edition in original cream oversized paper wraps with black tiles. The only book by Ms. Beeson with drawings by the renowned Frederick Polley. This copy is VG. Modest wear around the oversized wraps as is common. A couple of foxing spots to the rear, but generally clean . Inside is unmarked, clear and firmly bound. No other copies found as of October 2020, RARE thus. Written on behalf of the National Education Association to celebrate Indiana's authors. Ms Beeson was a graduate of Purdue University in 1916 and went on to become a supervisor of elementary education in Lafayette, Indiana.
