No bumping or fraying. Fading to board edges. Binding is tight and square, hinges are sound. Pages and edges are clean with neatly penned previous owner Christmas inscription dated 1935 on front fixed endpaper. Illustrated by Kate Seredy. 187 pages. Clean dust jacket is separated at front flap fold, has slight edge wear and a few short closed edge tears. Wonderful religious poems and prayers for Catholic children.

Ex libris stamp indicates former property of a public school district, but things could be worse. Markings seem to have been concentrated upon pencil-scrawled notes of various readers along the bottom of title page. Minimal water damage may have stiffened pages but hardly interferes with readings. The exterior boards may have seen better days, but the page within remain still bright and unmolested, save for what has been mentioned. Fair at worst. See photos.

Illustrated by Kate Seredy. 270 pp. Good in red cloth with black lettering and decorative borders in a fair only dust jacket (missing front endpaper, the very worn dust jacket has rubbing, separation along the folds and wear to the spine especially, but is still basically complete and attractive.).

Book is clean and unmarked. Jacket is bright and clean, with price clipped an a tiny spine chip but otherwise better than very good and protected by a Mylar plastic cover. Uncommon.

Seredy, born in Hungary in 1899, composed the book as a historical retelling of the epic story of the Huns and Magyars migration from Asia to Europe and settling in Hungary, from stories her father told her as a child.
