Billy Sparks is both a fighter pilot and a tale-teller par excellence! This tour de force sets the standard for military writing on an understandable level for those who do not drive supersonic metal on a daily basis. I flew CF104 Starfighters with Billy in Baden, West Germany where he served admirably on exchange with the Canadian Armed Forces - but my foremost memory of Billy Sparks revolves around the ten minute standing ovation he received from about 500 fellow fighter pilots at the San Antonio River Rats Practice Convention when he entered the hall.
