The book contains an Introduction by John Mortimer. Volume II: From Galileo to Admiral Byng. Volume III: From the Boston Massacre to Queen Caroline. Volume IV: From Burke and Hare to Oscar Wilde. All four volumes are near fine, with beautiful marbled boards. The slipcase shows some general shelf wear. A lovely set. (See pictures).
