Este libro presenta una arquitectura de agente que integra la representación de conocimiento mediante modelos ontológicos con un mecanismo para resolver conflictos con otros agentes. Esta arquitectura está basada en la combinación de dos áreas de gran impacto actual en las Ciencias de Computación: la Web Semántica y la teoría de Argumentación. El diseño de esta arquitectura se ha realizado desde un punto de vista ingenieril listo para ser implementado en plataformas de agentes, ofreciendo una alternativa para avanzar el estado del arte en el desarrollo de sistemas multiagente para la gestión de conocimiento en entornos distribuidos.
