21cm x 13cm. Small octavo. Floral cloth binding. Paper title labe tabel to front cover. Gilt lettering to spine. 157pp. Very pretty book. Letters written by (Emma) Rutherford to her sister Mary whoi had settled in India. These letters givie us a glimpse of a young woman's life in Cape Town, South Africa in the 1850's.
