Interesting essentially photographic description of the apparent intentional damage wrought to the University of Liege in November 1918 prior to their retreat. The author Pfosseur and Librarian at the University describes the events and provides and provides captions for each photograph some of which show the same scene in 1917 prior to the damage 48 photographs and 20 pages of text. Presentation signed inscription from the author to the Imperial War Museum, London, who have bound the book in black cloth, gilt retaining the original card covers. A number of IWM Stamps to margins and black cloth rubbed at head and tail of spine. Uncommon. Presentation Copy Signed By Au.
