Knopf (I love you anyway, Troy) see photos. Published by the regional independant The Troy Book Makers in 2022, When Mommie was a Commie is a humorous and affectionate memoir-style narrative by Jon Sorensen, capturing mid-century American life and political absurdities through a personal lens. Like many Troy Book Maker titles, the edition was issued in limited quantities, making first printings less common in the trade.

Published for the American-Scandinavian Foundation. 372 pages with index. The first full-life biography of the renowned Norwegian explorer/biologist, published soon after his death. This copy shows only very light edgewear, with no frays to the cloth. The spine is sunned, as usual, but all lettering is intact and clearly legible. The is also faint marginal sunning at the top and fore-edges. Hinges solid; binding square. The front pastedown carries the bookplate of Norwegian-American collector Herman Gimmestad, otherwise the volume is unmarked. A clean, tight copy.
