Paperback. Condition: New. Print on Demand. This book compiles and presents the essays and proceedings of the Eleventh Annual Session of the Southern Dental Association. The entries share a general concern with aligning the techniques and knowledge in dentistry with the field of medicine. The essays represent differing perspectives from some of the most prominent dental thinkers of their day. From their contributions we learn about new techniques, the difficulties and breakthroughs of the field at the time of writing, and some of the tensions between dental and medical knowledge and practices. The contents of this book are a primary source document for insights into the development and alignment of the two disciplines in the late 19th century. This book is a reproduction of an important historical work, digitally reconstructed using state-of-the-art technology to preserve the original format. In rare cases, an imperfection in the original, such as a blemish or missing page, may be replicated in the book. print-on-demand item.
