Hardcover. Condition: Good. 1st Edition. The binding is still quite firm & the book is bound with marbled hardcover with leather to the spine & corners with wear to the edges & some corner bumping. 420 pages plus 17 b/w plates. The text is clean but the plates are foxed. A previous owner has signed his name & dated 1868 on the first blank page & another later owner has ink stamped his name & status twice on the same page. No torn, loose or missing pages. The book has been carefully read.
