A satirist & author of just three books he seems to have lived in the Low Countries [his Neaste Of Wasps was printed in the town of Dort]. His works appeared without the name of the Printer or Publisher being mentioned - this may have been due to failure to obtain a license to print. Goddards Satire is directed at women & marriage. The book takes the form of a dialoge between Alexander the Great & the Philosopher & Barrel dweller, Diogines - Alexander wanting to know why Diogines chooses to live a recluse. 250 grams.

Contents with a few isolated spots, short creases across lower outer corners of a few leaves, and shallow undulations almost throughout at lower outer corners diminishing in effect & extent from final leaf back to page 1 where hardly visible. Endpaper hinges almost completely broken. Faint owner's name with date on front pastedown. Edges of text-block age-toned and a little spotted. Contents generally clean and tight.
