Wickiser has also contributed a short history of Mardi Gras, i.e. "Carnival", with special attention to New Orleans and Louisiana.

Hardcover. Wickiser, Ralph (and) Caroline Durieux (and) John McCrady (illustrator). A red fabric casebound book with yellow text on the spine. There is a dust jacket with black text on a pink spine. Pages: (6), 1-87, (1). Profusely illustrated with thirty drawings and lithographs. G-/G: The dust jacket has seen better days. Significant wear and tear; the illustrators' names on the front cover have a tear cutting through the text, but it is still readable. Despite the abuse this poor dust jacket has faced, that is the only text or image affected by the wear and tear. The book is in solid condition. Ink notation on the front free end page. Slight foxing to the end pages. Otherwise, clean pages and solid binding.
