ND, but as the Liveright Publishing Corp, successor to Boni & Liveright, wasn't formed until 1933, this edition of the Complete Poems (as titled on d/j) or The Testaments (as per title page) must date between then and 1935, when the name changed again. All in VG+ clean and bright internal order. Very smart black boards with gilt titling to upper boards and gilt and blue titling and decoration to spine, all showing minimal wear. VG clipped d/j is a little worn with minor loss to upper edge and fading to spine. 8vo. xxxvi, 316pp.

Structurally very good except for rubbing on lower corners. 145 pages. Macabre frontispiece taken from Levet's edition of 1489 depicting three unfortunates being hanged. This is a quality edition, not only the vellum backstrap but also all rag paper with fore and lower edges uncut. The limitation page states that this edition was limited to 775 copies of which 750 were for sale - this is #209. The book contains Villon's two major works, The Little Testament (1456) and The Great Testament (1461). Size: 265x185mm.
