Very nicely designed and printed on glossy papers. The operas presented and covered in this oversize program include Fidelio, A Midsummer Nights Dream, Le Nozze de Figaro, The Makropoulos Case, Otello, and The Last Supper by Harrison Birtwhistle. For each opera, there is the usual list of cast and a synopsis. In addition, there is an additional lengthy article on some aspect of that opera. For example, for Beethoven's "Fidelio" the article is titled "The Trouble with Liberty" by John Deathridge. For Otello, the article is "Otello and the Racial Imagination" by Roger Parker, and so forth. Profusely illustrated throughout in color. Program measures 9.5" x 12.25" with 144 pages. One corner of the last page is torn and missing, but this has almost no impact on the program contents in any way. Otherwise, the program is in nearly pristine condition. Due to its size and weight, additional shipping charges will be required for all deliveries outside the United States.
