A very good, sturdy hard cover with minor shelf wear, but yellowing (foxing) to the exterior margins and the effects of New York City soot on the dust jacket and fore-edges, binding tight, paper light to moderately yellowed, with foxing to the endpapers and fore-edges, and with the name of a previous owner (musicologist Rudi Blesh) on the front endpaper. In a good, moderately worn dust jacket with the original price present, but somewhat soiled by that city soot. Because of the larger size and weight, this volume will require some additional postage depending on destination.
