Soft cover. Condition: New. No Jacket. Meagan Skerchock (illustrator). 1st Edition. This book of "mathacrostics" can be appreciated by two major audiences. It will definitely be useful to those wishing to review, re-learn, or learn algebra - - while having some fun doing so. Working back and forth between the quote and the problems should provide any needed discovery, review, or insight . . . and the spiral review within each puzzle will go a long way in promoting mastery. For those who simply enjoy doing math, it will provide an alternative recreational puzzle to crosswords, word-searches, and Sudoku. It will enable both brushing-up and enrichment in algebra, along with a break from the word puzzles. All the problems were designed to be done without a calculator, though some might require scratch work. All the quotes were selected to elicit a chuckle, an insight, or both. Another "audience" for whom the book will provide an even greater benefit, is the classroom teacher. It COULD be used as a textbook for any teacher (home schooling, or otherwise) who knows their stuff . . . and simply needs a bank of good problems to supplement their explanations. It might be better used as a supplement for the classroom teacher who needs extra problems, review problems, or a break from the problems in their textbook. Signed by Author(s).

Trade Paperback. Condition: As New. Dust Jacket Condition: No Jacket As Issued. Meagan Skerchock (illustrator). First Edition. There are many Pre-Algebra books on the market. There's a dearth of Pre-Geometry books. The fifty puzzles within Pre-Geometry Puzzle Riddles will fill many voids. The book will serve as a needed refresher . . . or a refreshing supplement for geometry. The puzzles do aim to satisfy today's trends, but are also intended to help replace the logic (and fun) lost from a more traditional geometry. Both instructors and students will have "aha-moments" as they work through the puzzles to answer the riddles. (Multiple copies available.).
