    Soft cover. Condition: Good. Privately Printed. An extract from DeShield's 'Border Wars of Texas' originally printed in 1886. The book describes the Indian 1836 attack on Fort Parker in which Cynthia Ann Parker a nine year old was captured. She lived with the Comanches for the next 24 years and gave birth to the famous Comanche Chief Quanah Parker. She was taken back from the Comanches in 1860 but would not re acclimatize to white society. Her life was loosely based on the movie 'The Searchers'. Good+ copy of the undated booklet. Best guess is the booklet was printed in the 1970s. or early 1980s. The cover has minor wear and there is a previous owner's sticker on the inside front cover. 32 pages.…
