Black cloth. 268 pages. Fine, with offset from a small piece of tape on the front free end-paper, in a near fine dust jacket with wear to the edges and slight spine fade. Insert brochure "God of Earth and Outer Space a hymn for the space age." laid into the book. One of only 12 men to walk on the moon. He was the 8th person to walk on the Moon on Apollo 15 in July 1971; and the first and youngest to die on August 8, 1991 (age 61). Irwin and Scott's mission collected more Lunar samples than any previous mission, including the Genesis Rock. Signed by Author(s).

Autograph letter signed, one page, 8,5 x 11 inch, `High Flight Foundation` stationery, (Colorado Springs, Colorado), 13.05.1981, reply letter to `Douglas` - inter alia concerning "my present mission", written and signed in black felt tip "Jim Irwin - Apollo 15" - adding a small crescent moon, attractively mounted (removable) for fine display with a photograph, shows James Benson "Jim" Irwin as astronaut (altogether 16,5 x 11,75 inch), perforated to the left edge - in fine to very fine condition. In parts:"Dear Douglas, Thank you for honoring me with your letter. I am sending you pictures and some other information. [.] my present mission is much more important than my apollo work.
