A special permanent laid paper bearing the Society's watermark was manufactured for this book by Monadnock Paper Mills, New Hampshire. The biding is by the J. F. Tapley Company, New Jersey. Stow Wengenroth's original lithograph on stone was printed by George C. Miller & Son, Inc. New York. This copy is 485 signed by James Franklin Beard. Tiny faint spot on back cover, otherwise fine. Large 8vo. 10-3/16" x 7-1/4". Light brown paper covered boards. Brown endpapers. . Beige leather spine stamped in gold. 282 pp. Introduction by James Franklin Beard (illustrator).
