Hardcover. Condition: Very Good. 1901 Presumed first edition (SD, NAP) Hardcover, very good, no DJ. Embossed green pictorial cloth, gilt lettering, 544 pp, illustrated with photographic plates. A bit of the gilt rubbed, corners bumped, minor dusting on cloth. Internally, front hinge cracked, hinges starting to crack between 2 or… 3 of the gatherings, paper lightly age tanned, last few plates in a different order than listed in the contents, but o/w tight, clean, crisp, unmarked and probably never really read.
