Jacques Roskam, Hämatologe und Kliniker an der medizinischen Klinik der Universität Lüttich (Laboratoire de recherches de la clinique médicale, Université de Liège), später in der hämostaseologischen Literatur als Professeur émérite zitiert. In seiner 1923 bei Masson (Paris) erschienenen Arbeit "Pathogénie de la prolongation des hémorragies dans les syndromes hémogéniques et dans l'hémophilie vraie" untersucht Roskam die Ursachen der Verlängerung von Blutungen bei hämogenen Blutungssyndromen und bei echter Hämophilie: Er berichtet über experimentell-klinische Untersuchungen aus dem Forschungs-labor der Klinik in Lüttich, mit Analyse von Gefäßwand, Blutplättchen und Gerinnungsfaktoren und einer Deutung der unzureichenden Thrombusbildung und des gestörten Gefäßverschlusses.
